  • Comment: Per WP:MMABIO and Cassiopeia. Wait until they have completed their third UFC fight before resubmitting. I would hate to have to have this article create-protected. Bkissin (talk) 21:04, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Comment: Again, mma fighters needs at least 3 fights to be notable under tier one promotion (UFC/Invicta) - see WP:MMABIO. Submit after his fight on 26 July 2020. Cassiopeia(talk) 04:23, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Mixed martial arts record from Sherdog

Movsar Magomedovich Evloev (Template:Lang-ru; born February 11, 1994[2] in Sunzha, Ingushetia) is a Russian mixed martial artist of Ingush descent. Before signing a contract with the UFC, Evloev was the former Bantamweight champion of M-1 Global[3]; although, now Evloev currently fights a weight class up - at Featherweight.

Early Life

Evloev was born into a family of four brothers and one sister - one of which being Selem Evloev, who also is an MMA fighter in M-1 Global. Movsar studied the specialties of programming and jurisprudence in higher education. In 2008, Movsar took up Greco-Roman Wrestling and did so for five years, which he was awarded the title of 'Master of Sport'. In 2013, Movsar would take up Mixed Martial Arts where he would start a career in.

Mixed Martial Arts career

M-1 Global

Prior to entering the UFC, Movsar spent all his time in M-1 global, where he would have a successful run and earn a title shot at Bantamweight championship. On April 22nd, 2017, Evloev would face Alexei Nevzorov in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria for the M-1 Global Interim Bantamweight championship[4], where he would knock Nevzorov out in the second round by head-kick. Which gave Evloev the chance to fight for the unified belt.

Evloev would then face Pavel Vitruk near his republic's capital city of Nazran], in Targim[5]. Evloev would successfully unify the belts and become the unified Bantamweight champion, after using successful implementation of well-executed takedowns, control and strikes, Evloev was crowned the new champion with a unanimous decision win.

Following his big win, Evloev's first title defense would be held in February 2018, in Moscow, against Sergey Morozov which he would again achieve victory; however, this time, by finish. He would finish Morozov without much trouble; securing a rear-naked choke in round three.

In Evloev's second title defense, he would, again, fight near Nazran; however, it would be against Brazilian opponent, Rafael Dias. The fight would be a hard-fought and competitive battle - with Evloev winning - although, in the fifth round, Evloev would knock Dias out with a hard right hand. Evloev then followed Dias down to throw a few more punches and secure the stoppage victory.

This would push Evloev's professional MMA record to 10-0, Movsar would then vacate the M-1 Global Bantamweight title and sign with the UFC[6]

Ultimate Fighting Championship

In April 2019, Evloev would fight opposite fellow debutante Seung Woo Choi at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Oleinik in St. Petersburg[7], in the UFC's second event in Russia. After a fairly competitive fight, Evloev would win a clear decision; albeit, suffering a point deduction - Evloev would still win a wide decision largely based on dominating takedown ability and solid striking[8]

In his second UFC appearance, Evloev would face the experienced, Enrique Barzola at UFC on ESPN+ 20 held in Singapore. After a close three rounds, Evloev would edge the fight by a 29-28 score, winning two rounds; both fighters showed solid striking and grappling exchanges throughout the fifteen minutes[9].

After a series of cancellations, Evloev returned to the octagon on July 26, 2020, Evloev is rescheduled to fight fellow prospect, Mike Grundy at UFC on ESPN: Whittaker vs. Till[10] He won the fight via unanimous decision.[11]
