  • I specialize in bot work and tools, but I lurk around RfPP, AfD, AIV, and AN/I, as well as RfA. If you have any questions in those areas, please feel free to ask. :-)
  • For InternetArchiveBot matters specifically, please see meta:InternetArchiveBot/Problem for common issues or meta:User talk:InternetArchiveBot to leave a message
  • I also serve as a mailing list moderator and account creator over at the Account Creation Center. If you have any questions regarding an account I created for you, or the process itself, feel free to email the WP:ACC team or me personally.
  • At current I have helped to create accounts for 2512 different users and renamed 793 other users.
  • Disputes or discussions that appear to have ended or is disputed will be archived.

Cyberbot I

Cyberbot I clerked Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple#Hey now, you're an editor → MC-123 as if the user's name were "Hey now" stopping before the comma.

My previous request about the bot's handling of "Newname" got archived without any response - User talk:Cyberpower678/Archive 74#Newname. Regards, Cabayi (talk) 09:46, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cabayi, I'll take a look when I can, but it's a low priority for me right now. —CYBERPOWER (Chat) 18:59, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfB

Thanks for the reply at BN.

Help me out... any skeletons in your closet that could prompt a pile-on of opposers? --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 09:08, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dweller, not to my knowledge. Aside from being a bot-op, and potentially a fairly recent discussion to try and overturn one of my approved bot tasks which died out in the end with no action, I can't really think of anything that should be a skeleton. —CYBERPOWER (Chat) 14:33, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Bot op would work in your favour if you offered to recuse from Bot decisions that seemed to relate to bots you operate. I'm going to take a look at your contribs when I can. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 16:40, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I generally do.—CYBERPOWER (Chat) 21:51, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's going back a few years, but I am fairly certain there are a few skeletons. We've always got on Cyberpower and I "light-touch" mentored your back in the day (I think you were the final person to actually complete my adoption course), so I've always kept half an eye on your progress :) You absolutely don't deserve it all to be dragged up right now - you've been doing an excellent job - however, I hope you don't mind if I send you both an email with potential hurdles that might come up? WormTT(talk) 08:39, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Worm That Turned, sure. I’m only offering because there appears to be a need for more ‘crats. I only wish to help. —CYBERPOWER (Around) 12:04, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Url-status, date format and admin group

Hello Cyberpower678,

Recently IABot has been added to the Danish Wikipedia. I'm one of the users who are trying to get it to work. The bot is currently disabled because we need to solve some problems beforehand:

  1. In stead of using the value "live" for the parameter url-status the bot writes live" == UrlStatus or "ok (see bot edit). I've made this edit to Module:Citation/CS1, but the problem is still there.
  2. The bot doesn't recognise Danish date format of parameter archivedate, see bot edit. In da:Modul:Citation/CS1/Date validation we accept both English and Danish date formats. How do we make the bot accept Danish dates?
  3. At the moment I know only one person of the Danish wikipedia who has permission to configure the bot. How do more people (including me) get this permission (one has to be part of the admin group the IABot Management Interface says)?

I hope you are able to answer one or more of the questions.--Weblars (talk) 13:14, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Weblars, generally all sysops on dawiki can configure the bot for dawiki, but I can also add permissions to users as needed. I can give you the permission to access the configuration page. —CYBERPOWER (Chat) 19:23, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I would appreciate very much if you could give me permission to access the configuration page because we then better can get the bot working. We are very few active people on the Danish wiki so at the moment I'm the only one working to get IABot to run. I've told everyone about my question here at the Danish Village pump.--Weblars (talk) 15:51, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
