Sohan Pappu, (born December 11, 2002)[1] is an Indian social entrepreneur and environmental activist. He is the founder of Our Youth Social Community (OYSC), a non-profit organization that works to promote menstrual hygiene and environmental sustainability.[2]

Career

Pappu was born in Madhira, Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana) in 2002. Sohan graduated from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education.[3] While in college, Pappu became very involved in social work and environmental activism. He founded OYSC in 2016 with the goal of addressing the problem of menstrual hygiene in rural India.[4]

Social Activities

OYSC works to promote menstrual hygiene by distributing free organic sanitary napkins to rural women and girls.[5][6] He conducts awareness campaigns about menstrual hygiene and the importance of good menstrual health.[7][8][9]
