Touhou Juuouen ~ Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost (東方獣王園 〜 Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost., lit. "Eastern Beast King Garden") is the 19th game in the Touhou Project series of danmaku shoot 'em ups. The game was announced in April, 2023, and had a demo released on March 7. The game's full version released on August 13, 2023, on Steam.

Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost is a split-screen vertically scrolling shoot 'em up game in which two players use attacks to defend themselves from enemies that will release bullets in their direction, and can, under certain conditions, release spell cards onto the opponent's screen. Unlike most Touhou games, in Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost, the player has a health bar, allowing them to survive multiple hits, and each stage ends when one player depletes their opponent's health.

The game features a Story Mode, wherein the player will fight increasingly difficult CPU opponents, and defeating CPU's Spell Card could end the stage. The game also features a Extra Story. In the game's Match Mode, the player can fight an opponent in a single stage, controlled either by the CPU, or human opponents, locally or through the Internet.

Plot

Following the opening of the markets, Gensokyo's land has lost all ownership, threatening disorder. Among those vying for ownership are spirits from the Animal Realm, along with Gensokyo's own beast youkai. Reimu, Marisa, and others all seek to either stop the incident or use it for their own purposes fighting bad guys along the way and taming the animal spirits of the mystic hells.

100 Touhou 19 could almost be classified as a middle of the road game. However, it has become something of its own by eliminating many elements common in the genre. By getting rid of these elements, the essence of the Touhou DNA becomes more obvious, resulting in a masterpiece that couldn’t have been made if it wasn’t based on the Touhou Project series in the first place.
