Shouldn't this be titled 'Burevestnik class frigate".[edit]

These ships were officially classed as 'Burevestnik' by their builders and operators. 'Krivak' is a nickname tagged onto it, and only used, by outsiders.

Therefore I feel that this article should be titled 'Burevestnik class frigate'. 'Krivak' should then redirect to it. kimdino (talk) 09:26, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NO - The Article should be renamed back to Krivak class frigate - all the other articles on post war Soviet warships and Submarines use the NATO reporting name as this is most familiar to an Anglophone audience (with Soviet designations prominently marked) - I am Russian and OK with this. The recognition rhyme we used when I was in the squadrons was a little different, "Weenie Pack, Lip on the Stack, Guns in the Back - Krivak". 155.201.35.64 (talk) 19:43, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Few suggestions[edit]

I think that - if this uses "Burevestnik " as a an article title - then "Nerej" should be aded in title.

eg. "Burevestnik / Nerej class frigate"

or much better - we should have two pages. One for B. and one for N.

If we already use Russian names, then we should be consistent. Russian obviously thought that this is different subclass, so they named it different. They are not merely modification of Burevestnik - they have different philosophy and different user (Border Guard).

Also, in info box states that only 32 has been built - not true: 40 has been built - we forgot Nerej again. I will change this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.138.135.155 (talk) 09:08, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
