Bibliography help

I recently paraphrased some of the history section over on the Northern Caucasus article, however because this article is entirely sourced from unlinkable publications I don't currently have any actual citations. if anyone could pinpoint which of the publications here details the secession, clashes with the Whites, and eventual annexation it would be greatly appreciated. map

map is not correct. Abkhazia was never part of that republic--M. (talk) 06:41, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's not what I read here: http://poli.vub.ac.be/publi/Georgians/chp0701.html --HCPUNXKID 19:09, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, the fake map is still in the article. 149.3.83.160 (talk) 23:08, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. The Democratic Republic of Georgia was pretty much in control of Abkhazia throughout its existence. The only challenge came from Denikin's Volunteer Army in 1919, which was - mind you - also fighting the Mountain Republic. Also, Georgia supported the mountain republic and didn't consider it a direct enemy, which wouldn't be the case if the Mountain Republic had tried to lay their hands on Abkhazia. On top of that many books and publications describe Georgia being in control of Abkhazia in those years, and publications about the Mountain Republic make no mention of Abkhazia being included, such as this one from Turkey. No mention at all of Abkhazia, Sukhumi, or anything like that, that would suggest any involvement of the territory with the Mountain Republic or claims by it. As Andersen described it in his book on Abkhazia in this period: it is Russian propaganda. All maps here in commons have been uploaded by Russians. Go figure. Mountainous Republic of the Northern Caucasus - North Caucasian Emirate relations?

As both entities shared a common geographical space (North Caucasus), relations between them (or lack of them) should be acknowledged.--HCPUNXKID 19:12, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Size and population

Article claims: "The total land area was about 415,265 square kilometers (160,335 sq mi), with a population of about 11 million." Seems hardly belivable. What is this based on? Ivo (talk) 21:56, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ivo ..on nothing. You'll hardly find 11 million even today.--IrelandCork (talk) 10:27, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Languages

Hey, Adigabrek. I remove languages because it's hardly possible to add all Caucasian languages. I don't think it's important to add all 100 languages. And certainly, they can't be added to the template. Please don't accuse me of being a Russian Government agent for such logical thing, it's WP:Civil violation.--IrelandCork (talk) 10:16, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Leaders

Was there any leaders of this nation? If so, who led the nation?. the reason i'm saying this is because there is no listed leader in the Infobox. Thanks—User:Jake the Brain ComputerJake the Brain Computer (talk) 00:27, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with article

The article on this unrecognized state's flag has more information and sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_Mountainous_Republic_of_the_Northern_Caucasus

I think they can be merged, perhaps the significance of the flag can be a section in the main article. Flappido (talk) 02:55, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs some major review

This article is a total mess, it lacks sources and listed ones seem to be not really reliable, also map/territorial area of the republic and it's population is vastly exeggerated. BasilE99 (talk) 00:49, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Abkhazia

Why abkhazia is placed as "Full control" by them?, wasn't it controlled by the Democratic Republic of Georgia in the years?, as in the Paris Conference? It is comproved that it was under georgian control by this source:"Democratic Republic of Georgia" Encyclopedia; Tbilisi, 2018. pages 275-276." JJUPLOADS22 (talk) 15:40, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
