Language/People Split

I really think this article should be split into Quileute people or just Quileute (for the people) and Quileute language. It seems too confusing for there to be a single article for them both. Of course, it is a stub, so maybe that explains it. --TheSlyFox 12:06, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also agree, and ideally a further one for their government. Similar needed splits are common in Native American/First Nation articles; I've made quite a few of them, i.e the splits; mostly just making two stubs nd let 'em grow from there....some growk, some don't, but it helps sort out the categories a lot....Chemakum also, as it happens, needs a similar split (they're Quileute's cousins and adoptees).Skookum1 (talk) 04:08, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
PS evolved format should be Quileute for the people, Quileute language for the language; only if there's a situation like Okanagan people is the +people needed; or in some cases where there's a big disambig potential where the single-word becomes the dsismbig page, e.g. Squamish. Anyway g'nite.Skookum1 (talk) 04:12, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation?

How do you pronounce "Quileute"? Please use close-enough phonetics, not IPA. :) 99.245.92.47 (talk) 16:43, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wolves?

Okay I read Twilight and the whole series and do the people there really have a treaty with the Cullens and other vampires? And do they turn into wolves? Just wanna know:D —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.255.168.69 (talk) 03:09, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • *Facepalm* This damn well better be a troll or I'm losing all faith in humanity. There are no werewolves or vampires. While there may be some people with the last name Cullen, the Cullen family in Twilight is fictional, as in made up, as in not real. *Sigh* Ian.thomson (talk) 03:20, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quileute characters in Twilight

A lot of the recent edits have been adding characters to that section. Would most of the characters be covered by just saying "the Black family, the Clearwater family, and..."...? I'd do it, but I don't want to touch stuff about Twilight. Ian.thomson (talk) 16:01, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed most of the list, it was incredibly excessive. Half of those characters are barely even in the series anyways. Andrea (talk) 17:07, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate spelling?

I used to spend a lot of my time in and around Forks, before the Twilight fans turned it into a tourist trap. I've also been down on the res a lot, and I've seen the name spelled "Quileyute" more than once. Is this merely a misspelling or an actual alternate spelling? --- cymru lass (hit me up)(background check) 16:54, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Upgrading Wikiproject Ratings

Thanks for everybody's contributions. I'm going to put this page on the map for Wikiproject Washington. I'm looking forward to doing some more research on the reservation this spring. Infamouse (talk) 23:33, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
