Hello, Please stop deleting useful additions to Wikipedia. Take a look at some of the pages that I updated. For example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tallulah_Falls,_Georgia has an external reference link that goes to a 404 page. How is this helpful to users of this encyclopedia? All of my edits were specific to the Wikipedia entries in question. No spam for viagra here. So please, be a little bit more careful in what you call spam. ThanksConnieb8745 (talk) 02:40, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The issue I saw was that all the links you added were to the same website, [1]. This always raises alarm bells, and while the site is not obviously commercial, it doesn't appear to offer the reader more than an FA would, so is not recommended per Wikipedia:External links. I don't see any obvious wrongdoing, so I apologise for the generic spam message, but stand by my previous actions. Regards. Jamesx12345 15:24, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Manifesta

added some new contents while I was logged in, and to adjust some spacing and font-size I didn't bother to to so… there is one thing, the message : This article includes a list of references, but its sources remain unclear because it has insufficient inline citations. Please help to improve this article by introducing more precise citations. (April 2013) keeps popping up but there plant of inline citations; help is appreciated! Thanks.

Hi. That's just a template, which I've removed. I presume you are User:SEWSAUH as well? Regards. Jamesx12345 15:59, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi James, thanks for tydying the page... and that's me. Kind regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.68.77.165 (talk) 08:59, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kathryn McCormick

Hello, and thank you for your attention to the Kathryn McCormick page. I apologize for adding in the link; and you are entirely correct that such a link doesn't belong in an encyclopedia. What I was trying to do is just state that Kathryn is a designer for the clothing brand Sugar and Bruno. Here are my sources: [1] and [2] Is it acceptable to state the fact that she is a designer for the brand without placing a link?

Thanks,173.167.144.225 (talk) 13:42, 21 August 2013 (UTC)173.167.144.225[reply]

That would indeed be be appropriate. Thank you for your understanding of policy - provided it is framed in an objective way, most things are fine. Regards. Jamesx12345 15:13, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop POV edit warring

Your recent edit to AMBER alerts stated that the unsolicited nature of AMBER alerts was not properly sourced. 6 sources were given. Please stop deleting other people's contributions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.55.54.40 (talk) 19:54, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What I am doing is preventing POV. I can tell you do not like AMBER. Therefore there is POV present in those edits. Please describe my feelings about James Clerk Maxwell, or comets? Jamesx12345 19:58, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mistake

Sorry, it was a mistake. I don't know why adding a change ended up erasing the page --iamin7ove 19:49, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

The VisualEditor is still in beta, so is quite buggy, and it doesn't much like infoboxes. Regards. Jamesx12345 19:54, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

Sorry, yes it was a mistake, I left for a moment and my friend, who dislikes the Twilight Series, made this edit. As mentioned above, I am quite sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.25.101.119 (talk) 05:11, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hoole

Your obviously not from the area of Hoole, she is regarded as a highly famous person of the area and you have the audacity to remove this not only insulting her 'knocking her down a peg' but im also sure that i represent the whole of Hoole's emotions in saying. We have been let down by Wikipedia

SA Metal

Hi James, thanks for taking the time to edit my page on SA Metal http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Ilovescrap&oldid=565337814. Please can you give me some tips on how to get the page published? I sourced original newspaper clippings, scanned these and then uploaded them but the message says that these submissions are not reliable sources? Your assistance is much appreciated Ilovescrap (talk) 07:21, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you could use in-line refs, where each ref is to support a specific fact, that would help. Once that it done I will put it through, as the rest is good. Regards. Jamesx12345 07:42, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi James, I have updated the citations. Please confirm that they are acceptable. Ilovescrap (talk) 12:48, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi James, please let me know when you have had a chance to review once again. Much appreciated Ilovescrap (talk) 10:20, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry - the problem is that the refs are not in-line, but in a group at the end. By putting the actual text of the reference where you want it, that will sort it out. I changed the first one as an example. Many thanks. Jamesx12345 11:25, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you James for the assistance. Apologies for the misunderstanding. All refs now updated as in-line refs. Please confirm. Thanks. Ilovescrap (talk) 07:01, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 29

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Eastgate Shopping Centre (Basildon), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Next and John Gordon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Distance e-Learning (Philippines)

Hello James, the new article Distance e-Learning (Philippines) is a school project of students under the ICT for Development course at the University of the Philippines Open University. Most of us, if not everyone, are new to editing/creating an article in Wikipedia. There was no intention to especially mention the Philippines. We tried requesting for Distance e-learning (without Philippines at the end) but it was declined several times. We hope that we have demonstrated that distance e-learning is different from distance education and that the sources we cited in the article's AfD page demonstrate that the subject itself is notable. Kind regards, KValcorza (talk) 22:23, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I appreciate that you may be new to Wikipedia, and that's fine - after 10,00 edits I'm still learning. If the article is trimmed down, it should be suitable for Distance e-Learning. I honestly do, however, appreciate your enthusiasm, and it always pains me to open an AFD discussion when somebody has put lots of work in. I don't want to see it wasted. Regards. Rejection of Creation of 2013 IQA World Cup article

Hello James - You recently declined the creation of an article I wrote on the 2013 IQA World Cup as you deemed it non-noteworthy. I would like to submit that there is already a published Wikipedia article on the International Quidditch Association. In that article, there is a section for the 2013 IQA World Cup, so I wanted to create this page to be the main article for the 2013 Cup that can be linked to from that IQA article. I feel that when linked with the IQA article, this article just adds depth to an already growing article. I would like to know if you would consider approving it in light of this. Thank you James TravisUT12 (talk) 21:38, 31 July 2013 (UTC)TravisUT12[reply]

Resubmit it and see what another reviewer thinks. As a muggle, I can't conceivably judge whether coverage is serious or not. I think your article is in a very difficult place for Wikipedia, because it is not so stupid it can be dismissed, nor so serious it has to be included. Regards. Jamesx12345 21:44, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If I were you I'd leave Maxwell at peer review for a week or so. With any luck other reviewers expert in prose or science or both will look in. I'd say that the article is pretty much ready for nomination as a Good Article. If you later have Featured Article in mind I think you'll need to flesh it out quite a bit more. There are some single sentences in the article that would, I think, need to be whole paras for a Featured Article. But as to that you'd be well advised to consult an editor with a track record in science/mathematics articles. Meanwhile, thank you so much for educating me about that very great man Maxwell. Tim riley (talk) 16:28, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Later: I see you've pressed ahead with GAN. I wish you a favourable wind and I'll watch with interest. Tim riley (talk) 16:44, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's ready to be reviewed for GA, but FA is a long way away for anything I could write. I would have to read his full biography before I'd have a chance :-) Jamesx12345 20:31, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to University of Texas Medical Branch

Hi, James. I see that you made some recent edits to UTMB. Would you possibly take a look at edits I proposed on the UTMB Talk page and weigh in? Thanks! Myra McCollum | (talk) (COI) 19:03, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am afraid my edits were simply having a look at ref formatting and removing inappropriate stuff. I'll have a look, but might not say anything. Regards. Jamesx12345 20:36, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I know. I reverted my own edit, and meant to remove the warning from your page. I would personally recommend creating an account to avoid further irrelevant messages. Sorry and thank you. Jamesx12345 20:56, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oh Thanks for letting me know that and sorry for this misunderstanding. 71.180.91.32 (talk) 21:19, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comet

Thank you for asking about Comet. I left an answer on my own talk page but think that I would repeat that I like to bring the article to GA/FA, however, better citations are needed and at the moment I don't have the books for it...so maybe later. Soerfm (talk) 12:01, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm having a go at tidying it up and adding a few references to see if I can bring it up a bit. It might be that I simply don't know enough to add any content, but it's actually quite a comprehensive article as it stands, so it might meet the GA criteria with some more refs (or even just more citations from the same sources.) Thanks for getting back to me. Jamesx12345 12:42, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

your edit is misleading, the reviews provide evidence for high doses if intravenous ascorbate - the specific point of this review is that intravenous administration achieves effects that oral administration does not: http://ar.iiarjournals.org/content/29/3/809.long

update: I received your talk page comment, but it is in a mainstream journal, other mainstream reviews still note evidence of efficacy: http://advances.nutrition.org/content/2/2/78 - search "Pharmacologic ascorbate" (repeating this search throughout the text will yield ), and see the entirety of the section "Ascorbate and cancer treatment" of this review: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0304419X12000509 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.189.184.243 (talk) 18:28, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Release Dates!

As I was editing wrong information, I'm really sorry about it but you have also added incorrect information. You haven't demonstrated it much. Unfortunately, Just don't give by Eminem was released in February 1999. Stan by Eminem ft. Dido was released in March 2002.
