Ok, I am back!

Hey there bud, just wanted to let ya now that I am back. The rest was well needed! I am currently going to start working on the Shirley Caesar, Phyllis Diller and Larnelle Harris articles. I hope to bring them up to GAstatus with some work on them. Be sure to keep me in line! LOL Canyouhearmenow 13:41, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FAC

Since in a FAC of mine someone requested "a fresh pair of eyes" and you've been very helpful to VG articles, can you take a look at The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess? igordebraga 17:12, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfB FYI

I am unsure whether this will affect your opinion, but being as the RfBends tonight, I wanted to inform youthat both Ryan and Sandy struck their opposition, with Ryan switching to support. Thanks. -- Avi (talk) 14:54, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rfb participation thanks

Hello, CrazyBookLover XV.

I wanted to personally thank you for taking part in the project-wide discussions regarding my candidacy for bureaucratship. After bureaucratic discussion, the bureaucrats decided that there was sufficient significant and varied opposition to my candidacy, and thus no consensus to promote. Although personally disappointed, I both understand and respect their decision, especially in light of historical conservatism the project has had when selecting its bureaucrats. I especially wanted to thank you for taking the time to revisit your opinion, and eventually extend your trust to me. If you have any further suggestions or comments as to how you think I could help the project, please let me know. Once again, thank you for your support. -- Avi (talk) 19:05, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While I truly appreciate your support, and surely won't complain if you voice your opinion to the 'crats, their decision was within the bounds of their mandat. As the first post RfBBar discussion candidate that went to completion, and within the bounds of the discussion, the crats had the opportunity to be groundbreaking. However, one of the things it appears that this RfB demonstrated was that the project does NOT want groundbreaking RfB's, so I cannot complain. Mathematically, though, if 5 opposes had been struck (making it 102/17/...) there would have been a much stronger argument (over 85%, 6:1 ratio, etc.) so I feel the candicacy failed by five votes :) -- Avi (talk) 20:24, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please comment on how to program an archival bot for Wikipedia:Editor review that is both feasible and advisable? My inclination is to keep the current system, i.e. alphabetical order, with the date of the first edit to the page noted. I am willing to sacrifice either of these points if it makes the bot operator's job easier. In other words, we could forget about alphabetical order and archive by month, or we could simply not bother to note the date of each individual request. I am posting this message to several users active at Editor Review to solicit opinions. Shalom (HelloPeace) 03:53, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:RFA

Sounds wonderful, but my schedule would find it much more favorable to begin tomorrow instead of today. Is that good with you? Mastrchf (t/c) 12:00, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I have a free day now, and I'm ready to take the big leap! Mastrchf (t/c) 20:39, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The nomination looks great. I've completed those introductory questions, so I guess it's time for the gauntlet. Mastrchf (t/c) 22:47, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WBOSITG's RfA

HAU and StatusBot

I'm pretty sure I have it all worked out to get WP:HAU to keep track in real-time who is online and who's not (however it does seem to lag by 15 minutes or so when updating). The HAU members are all added to [[Category:Wikipedians who use StatusBot]]. SoxBot V goes through there and checks each member of the cat. Those who have edited within the last 15 minutes get their corresponding User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME, updated to "online" automatically (in your case, User:StatusBot/Status/bibliomaniac15). Those who haven't edited within the last 15 minutes, theirs changes to "offline". The text of that status is now displayed at HAU in the right-most column for each user. This should eliminate the need for the tables with the checkmarks because we have a more accurate table. Useight (talk) 05:06, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:Londonfella

Hello again, sorry to have had Londonfella bother you about admin coaching. He had asked me if there were any admin coaches that I knew really well. Your name immediately came to mind as one that I knew. I told him that you were pretty selective and also pretty busy, but I guess he tried anyway. Again, sorry to have had him bother you when his RFA would obviously end in snow, I was just answering his question as to who I knew and didn't actually expect you to take on a candidate yet unprepared. I told him it'd take at least 2000 edits, but he went for it with sub-1000. Anyway, now I'm rambling on. Useight (talk) 16:04, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Got yer back

You forgot to remove the MfD notice from User:E9/T:Season after closing Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:E9/T:Season. I hope I did it right. FYI. --207.206.136.178 (talk) 17:30, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
