I agree with deletion of "Image:Parrot_cga1h_palette.png" and "Image:Parrot_cga2h_palette.png" images

Hello.

Sorry for I left this two images orphaned in the Wikipedia. When I rewrote the List of palettes article, I added many images, and I uploaded another version of this two with other filename nomenclator. I forget to drop the older two.

So please, procceed!Ricardo Cancho Niemietz 09:15, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please look at the subject image which I listed for deletion on June 4th? I don't understand why it has not yet been deleted. It is an orphan. I will watch for your reply here. - mbeychok 22:12, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Garrett Hall Dormitory Room Image to Delete

Hi, Gay,

I think that's fine. It's not the best image and I don't think it is of any particular use. Please feel free to delete. At one time, I uploaded a number of photos, some others of which you might wish to consider for deletion.

Thank you,

Image deletion

Hey, you can go ahead and delete Me_resting_in_my_girlfriends_bed.jpg if you want. I uploaded it, and couldn't figure out how to delete it after that.

Just so you know, the uploader of the above image, which you nominated for deletion, went and deleted it from the IfD page. I have re-added it. Just wanted to let you know.--User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 18:46, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you can help?

The Sunshine Man has advised me to contact you with my problem.

I would like ask if you can/will help me to download a few images to Commons. Doing this is beyond my technical capacities. I think the pictures are copyright free but would you check it please? I will write below how to get to them. Please do so:

1. Write "nucleate boiling" and search for images by Google; 2. Choose the image "Nucleate boiling" by www.spacefight.esa.int By me it is the third picture in the third line; 3. Open the image and you are on page "What is fluid physics". At the end of the page, left, you will see link to "Home", please open it; 4. Scroll to the end of this page and then open "About this website" and there you will find copyright information:

"This website is solely for educational and information purposes, therefore NO copyright restrictions are imposed. Furthermore, some images contained in this website have come from other sources, and courtesy is indicated where appropriate."

I hope you can follow my explanation to get there and that, this is the right permission to download the images on Wikipedia. Copyright by Onera is a dead link.

I need the images to illustrate two articles: the first about fluid physics and the second about nucleate boiling. I will be very happy if you would like to help. It will improve both articles. Greetings.--LidiaFourdraine 19:11, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thanks a lot for all you have done. I will try to contact Onera and if the answer allows to copy the images then I turn to one of the persons you have mentioned. Greetings.--LidiaFourdraine 06:14, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding images that I keep getting orphaned notices about

I did not read the template I put up, no, but those images are far from orphaned; they're used in articles. The notices I was receiving on my talk page told me to put the no orphan template on those pages if they ARE being used in an article, which I did. --Thaddius 19:26, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

unencyclopedic?

Hi Gay Cdn, you seem to work hard at removing lots of orphaned images! :o) As I posted at one random image, I agree that some features about the(se) image(s) seem pretty fishy. But the claim that they're unencyclopedic seems very far-fetched for lots of them. Since there are of course exceptions where this comment does in fact fit very well, placing the comment "unencyclopedic" everywhere doesn't exactly hit me as very effective... or am I overlooking something!? :o) ... --Ibn Battuta 04:03, 25 June 2007 (UTC) PS: Either way, while we may be at odds about procedure and its very practical consequences, thanks for the work you put into fishing for all these images!![reply]

Image:Blockbusteronline-oldlogo.png

I fixed the Blockbuster (video store) Wiki page back to the way it should have been left. Someone (69.108.76.245) deleted all info about Blockbuster Video history, retail stores, etc. and left only the current Blockbuster Online (Total Access) info on the page. That is why the image came up as not belonging on any Wiki page. Arenafoot 02:14, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for dropping me a note. It's nice to be reminded there are other preservationists on Wikipedia. I deleted the image as it duplicates Image:Drum circle lead by Eagle Stone of the Blackfeet Nation.jpg. Hyacinth 02:54, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Howardzinn-wellfleet.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Howardzinn-wellfleet.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 23:20, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this note but I don't quite know what to make of it. 1. I don't understand why it was deleted from the biography page (and I will ask on that talk page). There are no copyright issues whatsoever as it is a publicity photograph taken by the subject's son and he gave up all copyright. The picture is used on several of Zinn's recent books and in his publisher's publicity materials. Please let me know what I should do, beyond going to the Zinn talk page. Thanks. Image:northfold.jpg listed for deletion

I did have on my own page, but later decided not to show it. I thought that maybe people would not take me seriously. They should look at what I do, rather than make judgements. I was thinking I would put it back later after I have done a bit more Wiki stuff, but I could always upload it again if I decide that. Northfold 19:45, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Tomoko Kawase image

I'd like to know who in the hell orphaned it in the first place! I've put it back where it belongs! --CJ Marsicano 01:18, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anzu Mazaki

The image is not an orphan - It is linked from the Anzu Mazaki page. WhisperToMe 01:45, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo Deletion User:Citikiwi

You may be a deletionist, but is it really necessary that you go and delete all the photos I've uploaded. Any particular reason? Citikiwi 01:53, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My userpage is currently undergoing a gigantic make-over (which is why it looks bland and boring) and those photos will soon have a home. The others are photos of One Buck Short, why are they going? Citikiwi 02:11, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inexpereniced Wikipedia Author

Well thanks for dropping the note at my page and like I say I dont know much about Wikipedia and try to solve the problem with I owned those copyrights on Mercedes page. The reason is that I am hoping to prevent this to being deleted. Thats why I did went there and took it off to save the problem but didnt know it was considering "vandalism". Like I say, I am new to this and hope to fix the image copyright that belong to me with your help (assist me through or you can do it for me if you can, thanks!).

Add to the note: Is that how you guys talk on Wikipedia via "Talk" page?? No email direct to the person to talk about it like private message or something like that?? Explain to me little more about how to use Talk page and How to prevent delete images if I did not put proper information on copyright images...like at the last minute before removed..how will that work?? Thanks again! (talk)

I just fixed it and is it better? Let me know. I hope I did the right thing using that kind of format. Again, let me know. Thanks! Jjcenterprises (talk) 3 July 2007 (UTC)
What is IfD page?? I am not familiar with the Wiki term. Forgive me like I said, I am not very good at Wikipedia site (I am rookie)!! Jjcenterprises 21:44, 3 July 2007 (UTC) (Better?)[reply]
So what should I do in IFD page? Comment on each image... What am I suppose to say? Now I am learning about the signature and STILL learning the new things about Wikipedia.. Its seemed to be fun to work something at Wiki. Is there anything else I should know?? Oh Yes please take a look at Image:Tn Mercedes00001.jpg under fair use as you mentioned. Is that good enough?
