== MMA afd ==

At a glance I can tell why the articles are being deleted. and that is because most of the sources are from garbage websites like mmajunkie and bloodyelbow and even ufc.com. Rather than say Chicago-sun times or NY times. Or even a yahoo sports article or regional newspaper would be better than online fan websites like Sherdog. In short all those bad references must be replaced with good ones. [[User:PortlandOregon97217|PortlandOregon97217]] ([[User talk:PortlandOregon97217|talk]]) 00:40, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Upcoming mixed martial arts events, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Upcoming mixed martial arts events is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Upcoming mixed martial arts events, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of Upcoming mixed martial arts events

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Upcoming mixed martial arts events, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

We already have a category for them.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --aktsu (t / c) 06:10, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of Aggression Fighting Championship events has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of this event's notability, no article about the event itself.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 18:14, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! the work on the table was done on UFC 147 by Gamezero05 you can see the progression of his work on the following pages. Good luck!

Thanks for the note on my talk page. Actually, I don't belong to any Projects, not even of those of subjects I'm particularly interested in. But I do a fair bit of disambiguating - I think that is how I've been involved in MMA articles. Anyway, good luck in finding people. StAnselm (talk) 01:24, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As with StAnselm, I was working on disabiguating pages. I have no particular interest in MMA. Good luck with the project, and hopefully you will get that section of wikipedia looking good. Suprcel (talk) 20:28, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tank Abbott

I noticed you went through and changed All the David Abbots back to Tank Abbott. I switched them to David because policy on wikipedia has always been to use real names instead of nicknames on results pages. For example, its always seen as Quinton Jackson instead of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson or Rampage Jackson.

Just letting you know, but thanks for your MMA contributions in general. Too many deletionists and not enough people willing to fix the current pages.

AfDs of mma articles

I am more than happy to work towards a solution to the issue of MMA event notability, but given the current everything must be recorded how the fans want position, I don't know what to recommend. Mtking (edits) 08:03, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Kevlar for the welcome! I will try to lend a hand =) Niklas9999 (talk) 05:11, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Kevlar, I have been trying to figure out how everything around this project works. I was thinking that I could start by doing mass improvements that don't need a lot of experience. For example there is a lot of difference regarding how results are presented for events. Example if you compare UFC 100 with UFC 152. I was thinking I could go through all UFC events and making them look like UFC 152. I saw a discussion about how results should be presented but I cant find place where it says which standard should be used. Should I use the one from UFC 152?

Btw am I posting in the right place on this talkpage?
