Bengal presidency

Hi Mar4d, Thanks for you edit on Partition of India. The reason why I had left it at Bengal was that I seemed to remember that the Presidency either formally ceased to exit in 1912, after the reunification of Bengal, and the creation of Bihar and Orissa Province, or it was formally abolished after the Government of India Act of 1935. In either case, if my memory is correct, the presidency had ceased to exist by 1947. Would you like to do a little work? See if you can find sources that speak to the truth of either notion of mine. If either is true, could you create a real content page at Bengal Province, which currently is a dab page, or you could do it at Bengal Province, British India. @Fowler&fowler: Hey Fowler&fowler. My knowledge of Bengal's colonial history is patchy at best, though what I understand from Bengal Presidency is that it was split in 1905 only to be "reunited" in 1912. And if this section is correct, Bihar and Orissa were carved out as new provinces whereas the rest of Bengal remained in its original (presidency) boundaries up till 1947. It was based on this assumption that I redirected British Bengal to that article. I may have to research a little more to be 100% certain. Mar4d (talk) 16:28, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Dear Mar4d, I often see you reverting vandalism and removing unsourced material so I thought I let you know that recently I was able to fix 330 bio pages on current MNA's (10 needs to be fixed and you can help). It took me two years to fix the pages so I would appreciate if you could add all of them into your watchlist and revert any questionable edit being added in future. 2018 election are near and I am expecting people close to subjects to edit the pages to please themselves.
