Conflict of interest[edit]

Please read WP:COI. Although your edits are welcome, it might be better if you discussed them on your article's Talk page first. That way you can get inputs from experienced Wikipedia editors as how best to edit using Wikipedia reliability, sourcing and formatting standards. Woogee (talk) 00:52, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article has been "userfied"[edit]

I would advise you that I moved what was your userpage to User:Maureenpfleming/Maureenpfleming, so you continue to work upon it. I would advise you that it is inappropriate to host articles in userspace, since articles may be edited by anybody and when you moved the content you "lost" the editing history. The licenses that Wikipedia operates under requires that all contributions are listed. I would further note that Wikipedia has certain rules, policies and guidelines that require either complaince with - or a very good reason not to. It may be of benefit if you were to familiarise yourself with them, before attempting to place any version of the article back in the mainspace. Autobiography[edit]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:18, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your article and your draft[edit]

The author of the warning above was not aware that you already have an article: that is the warning we give to people who may not be notable by our standards but attempt to introduce an article about themselves. In your case, we already have an article, but when you tried to expand it your edits were reverted. The version you posted on your user page has been moved to a subpage at User:Maureenpfleming/Maureenpfleming, and a proposal to delete it has just been declined at this deletion discussion.

However, I suggest that if you are unhappy with the present article at Maureen Fleming your best course would be to read Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Help, which contains advice for people in your position, and then explain on the article talk page what changes you would like to see. You should understand that nobody owns any Wikipedia article - the content is agreed on by discussion and consensus.
