Talkback

Hello, Smilingfrog. You have new messages at Talk:Singapore.
Message added 17:20, 12 July 2011 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

1.) You have been invited to present your case there. 2.) Should you ignore and/or remove this invitation for the discussion, it will be treated as a silent agreement on your part of what you had done and/or is willing to move on, without prejudice. 3.) After receipt of this talkback notice, any failure on your part in future to prevent/stop yourself from edit warring over a simple content dispute that can be resolved by a consensus building discussion to bring your point across (per WP:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle), carries the possibility and/or penalty of you getting BLOCKED for your POINTY behaviour. Knock it off!

  • About this statement of yours on the discussion page of Singapore, knock if off before I report you. If you have a personal problem with me or you have an axe to grind, talk to me personally like a real man instead of making such meek and rude statements (per WP:Avoid personal remarks) where the discussion is beyond you and where it doesn't concern you (per WP:Mind your own business) in whatsoever manner. Young man, this is my very last warning to you because the next one won't be forthcoming when I report you on ANI. If you are not here to improve the encyclopedia, I'd strongly suggest that you be a good boy, go eat your nasi lemak and stay out of trouble. This is not your own school's playground. You have been warned, again. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 19:36, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't have an axe to grind with you, and I certainly have not made any personal attacks against you, anyone can check this out by visiting the link you posted. The discussion was open to all users and WP:Mind your own business certainly does not apply when people's views are openly solicited on the discussion page of an article.
I notice that you have made numerous personal attacks against me. You have called me 'Kermit the Frog' here. In your message above, you wrote 'talk to me personally like a real man instead of making such meek and rude statements' , 'Young man, this is my very last warning to you because the next one won't be forthcoming when I report you on ANI' and 'I'd strongly suggest that you be a good boy, go eat your nasi lemak and stay out of trouble. This is not your own school's playground. You have been warned'.
Please read -> WP:No personal attacks,WP:Civility. Understand that not making personal attacks and being civilised are two of the five main pillars on Wikipedia.
Since you obviously like 'warning' people a lot, I would return you your favour by warning you to stop being so hostile, to stop making personal attacks, to be civilised and to conduct yourself properly or I would report you on ANI. You have written more than enough nasty stuff above to warrant a block or a ban.

Cheers, Smilingfrog (talk) 15:10, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request to me from Dave1185 for help

Hello, Smilinfrog. Dave1185 has asked me for advice or help concerning what he calls "continued personal attacks and incivility" from you. I have written a response to his request at Continued personal attacks and incivility by Smilingfrog. I invite you to read the whole of that response, and you are very welcome to make any comments about it you may wish to. In particular, I have made a suggestion there for the two of you, and you may wish to respond to it. JamesBWatson (talk) 17:15, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded [| here]. The outcome was that both of us agreed to an interaction ban.Smilingfrog (talk) 18:55, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

November 2011

You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Smilingfrog. Thank you. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 07:08, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Someone suspects me? Do you always refer to yourself in the third person? Why don't just write you suspect me? I mean, there is only one editor who has been leaving 'not nice' messages on my talkpage right? Who else can be so ridiculous? I have no idea who that person is and looking through his/her edits, it is not even the same as mine. I edit on a variety of wikis not just Singapore alone, and when I edit the Singapore, I edit mainly on languages and cuisines, this person seems to edit on culture and military and on the Singapore article alone. Note, this is the first time you have breached our agreed interaction ban [| here]. Smilingfrog (talk) 18:55, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Just so you'd know, the warning template above was autogenerated and serves as a notice, being an essential and necessary part of the process for sockpuppet investigations. If this isn't here, you can take me to ANI for failing to notify you but the result is... it will most probably fall on deaf ears. Remember, read also WP:BOOMERANG first before you do so as I'm not to be held responsible for any ignoramus on your part. Ciao~! --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 19:42, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I truly doubt you have to worry about any 'ignoramus on my part' (sic). It is obvious I am not the ignorant one. The irony of this line is as thick as steel, lol. As for WP:BOOMERANG, seeing how you like leaving insults, 'warnings', as well your unique brand of logic like [| this] on my talkpage, I, just like [| Administrator JamesBWatson here], would urge you to watch out for the WP:BOOMERANG yourself.Smilingfrog (talk) 19:57, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

December 2011

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Malaysia. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. NOTE: This is a persistent problem of yours, you like to edit war with others and of late I've also noticed that you like to stalk other editors as well. FWIW, I would strongly suggest that you rethink your priorities here or it will be a short stint for you. Take heed. Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 16:20, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am not the one starting an edit war and I certainly do not 'stalk' editors. I am the one who started the discussion to reach a concensus[| here], and have posted most in the discussion. If I wanted to edit war, I wouldn't have started the discussion, much less post so much to attempt to reach a consensus, would I? While the other editor, User:Chipmunkdavis, has only posted one illogical line and been reverting all my edits since.
Note this is more than the second time you breached our interact ban, as agreed [| here]. Smilingfrog (talk) 18:55, 5 December 2011 (UTC) by yourself. Also note that, despite being told by JamesBWatson to stop making personal attacks [| here] as per Wikipedia:No personal attacks me, you have continued your tirade of insults by calling me 'the frog' and 'Kermit' when you reverted my edit[| here], which is another breach of the contact ban. Lastly, note that all the messages on my talk page has been from you, no other editors has been as aggressive as you in insulting me. Observe Wikipedia:No personal attacks and Wikipedia:Civility please.[reply]
I guess there is no point in responding to someone like you. Being more established does not give you the right to insult and bully others. It is ANI or something else the next time I guess.Smilingfrog (talk) 18:55, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • So, in your world, leaving 'warning templates' on my talkpage does not show that you are trying to interact with me? Note that I have not initiated any interaction with you, but you on the other hand, have been initiating multiple interactions with me on my talkpage, as can be glanced from above, breaking the interaction ban. If that is not enough, does insulting me as 'the frog' and 'Kermit' and reverting my edit[| here] constitute an interaction in your world? Despite being told by JamesBWatson to stop making personal attacks [| here] as per Wikipedia:No personal attacks, you have continued your tirade of insults by calling me 'the frog' and 'Kermit' when you reverted my edit[| here]. Remember, you are writing on my talkpage (clearly you are initiating interaction), and I am only writing on my talkpage to respond to all your baseless accusations and your smear campaign (as usual). Stay off my talkpage, stop insulting me any further, and stop reverting my edits with insults like 'kermit' etc if you have any self-respect. Smilingfrog (talk) 19:35, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Say whatever you like but if you got no guts to bring it to ANI, I'm cool with that too because you're just harping on the same old complain over and over again without first addressing this EDIT WARRING behaviour of yours. One fine day, don't be startled and cry at us for not warning you enough when we bring your head onto the chopping block of WP:RFC/U for this persistent EDIT WARRING behaviour of yours. It's your life, however much I can deny it you still have a choice but not when Wikipedia's concerned, either you swear off this EDIT WARRING behaviour of yours or you'd always have people like me (if not me, remember that there are thousands of other editors like me) hawking over you, make no doubts about it. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 20:04, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded to your request for help on my talk page. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:44, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
