Are you a wiki admin?

How’s it going, I’m in search of a wiki admin to help with updating CEO’s wiki page which has outdated info there but I don’t know how to do it. I came across your name. Do you have an email I can reach you at? 2600:1700:3C6C:4080:7C88:9811:4772:80B6 (talk) 04:24, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for asking. No, I'm not an admin, if you want help, you can ask at the Teahouse. --Stewpot (TᴳRᴴAᴼIˢNᵀ)-(Cₛ) 11:02, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Signature

Since you'll be mentoring newer editors, it might be a good idea to put your username somewhere in your signature (which is recommended anyway at WP:CUSTOMSIG/P). Folly Mox (talk) 05:12, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Women in Red

Hi there, RotciW, and welcome to Women in Red. On the basis of your first two women's biographies, Blanca Pozas and Paty Cofré, it looks as if you are going to be a useful member of the project. You do not seem to have any particular difficulties with Wikipedia editing but you might find it useful to look at our Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Essays, perhaps starting with the Primer. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 16:20, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent revert

This wasn't vandalism, it was an author of a page attempting to blank it as they weren't ready to publish it yet. I've moved the page to draft space per their request, but do be careful with reverts as they can be bitey in cases where vandalism didn't occur. Deauthorized. (talk) 23:12, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I'll be more cautious and careful while reverting. Thanks. RotciW 23:34, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, just check a bit further whenever you notice that a new page is blanked to make sure it wasn't the author blanking it. A relevant quote from Wikipedia:Page blanking;

If the sole author blanks an article, this can be taken as a deletion request. It can also be tagged with {{Db-blanked}}. Newcomers often mistake blanking for deletion. If someone wants their new article deleted, they should simply add {{db-g7}} or {{delete}} to it and an administrator will delete the page.

Hope this helps. Deauthorized. (talk) 23:46, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

Hi RotciW. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Guerillero Parlez Moi 17:28, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Rosita Lara moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Rosita Lara. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (talk) 01:14, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Gangotriattri (13:20, 31 October 2023)

Hi,

I need to create a wikipedia page for Dr. Jitendra Sharma, MD & CEO of AMTZ Visakhapatnam. Kindly help me in that, how can i create and how to create.

Thank You --Gangotriattri (talk) 13:20, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Gangotriattri First, check if the subject is notable and that there are reliable sources to verify the article. Second, since you are not in the autoconfirmed group, you'll have to create a draft using Article wizard. Also, if you are closely connected to the subject of the article, you have to disclose it. You can also read Help:Your First Article for more information. —Stewpot (talk) 19:54, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Ntb4321 (09:14, 17 November 2023)

Hello there StewPot! I am a passionate contemporary dance fan that would love to see more female artists in this field gain prominence through Wiki! I wrote a draft article about Australasian_Dance_Collective and its director Amy Hollingsworth but it has been rejected twice: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Australasian_Dance_Collective

Do you think: 1. These subjects are 'notable' enough? I'm a bit miffed that football or cricket players that played for Australia once or twice get a page but Artistic Directors in the highly competitive field of the arts do not as easily. 2. What can I do to address the Wiki's concern about using sources that are: in-depth (not just brief mentions about the subject or routine announcements) reliable secondary strictly independent of the subject

?

Many thanks NTB --Ntb4321 (talk) 09:14, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

First: For an draft to be accepted, the subject has to be notable, "notable" means that the subject is talked about a lot on media, like news articles, books and journals, which can be used as references.
Second: Add more references that talk in-depth about the subject of the article.
Also, your draft wasn't rejected, it was just declined. —Stewpot (talk) 20:02, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
