2019 Bahamas Bowl
The 2019 Bahamas Bowl is a college football bowl game that will be played on December 20, 2019, with kickoff scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST on ESPN.[1] It will be the 6th edition of the Bahamas Bowl, and is the first of the 2019–20 bowl games concluding the 2019 FBS football season. Sponsored by Elk Grove Village, Illinois, the game will be officially known as the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl.
Teams
The game will be played between the Charlotte 49ers from Conference USA (C–USA) and the Buffalo Bulls from the Mid-American Conference (MAC).[2] This is the first time the Bulls and 49ers have ever played against each other.[3]
Buffalo Bulls
The Bulls enter the bowl with a 7–5 record (5–3 in conference). This is Buffalo's fourth appearance in a bowl game; they are 0–3 in prior bowls, most recently appearing in the 2018 Dollar General Bowl.[2]
Charlotte 49ers
The 49ers enter the bowl with a 7–5 record (5–3 in conference). This is Charlotte's first postseason game in school history.[4]
