Gilles Simon was the defending champion, but lost to Kevin Anderson in the semifinals.

Anderson went on to win the title, 7–6^(7–4), 6–7^(2–7), 7–6^(7–5), against Ivo Karlović. Anderson did not face a single break point and Karlovic saves 8 out of 8 break points against him. The match finished with each player having won equal number of a points (111).
