The 19261 / 62 Kochuveli-Porbandar Express[1] is a Superfast express train belonging to Indian Railways - Western Railway zone that runs between Kochuveli in Thiruvananthapuram and Porbandar in India.

It operates as train number 19261 from Kochuveli to Porbandar and as train number 19262 in the reverse direction serving the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat.[2]

Coaches

The 19261 / 62 Kochuveli-Porbandar Express has one AC 2 tier, two AC 3 tier, 7 Sleeper Class, six General Unreserved & two SLR (Seating cum Luggage Rake) Coaches. It does not carry a Pantry car coach.

As is customary with most train services in India, Coach Composition may be amended at the discretion of Indian Railways depending on demand.

The 19261 Kochuveli - Porbandar Express covers the distance of 2,411 km (1,498 mi) in 47 hours 5 mins (51 km/hr) & in 47 hours 5 mins as 19262 Porbandar - Kochuveli Express (51 km/hr).

Timing

19261 - Leaves Kochuveli every Sunday at 11:00 AM IST and reach Porbandar on Tuesday at 10:15 AM

19262 - Leaves Porbandar every Thursday at 18:40 PM IST and reach Kochuveli Saturday at 17:45 Hrs IST

Routeing

The 12261 / 62 Kochuveli−Porbandar Express runs from Kochuveli via Ernakulam Junction, Mangalore Junction, Madgaon Junction, Panvel, Vasai Road, Ahmedabad Junction, Rajkot Junction to Porbandar.[3]

Traction

As large sections of the route are yet to be fully electrified, a Vatva based WDM-3A locomotive powers the train for its entire journey.
