Bělá pod Bezdězem (German: Weisswasser) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 4,800 inhabitants. The centre of the town is historically significant and is protected by law as Urban monument zone.
Etymology
The town's name is derived from the river of local significance Bělá and the nearby hill Velký Bezděz.
