The Mexican Pacific League (Template:Lang-es or LMP) is a professional baseball winter league based in northwest Mexico. The ten-team regular season schedule runs from October to December and is followed by a playoff series in January to determine the league champion. The league's champion takes part in the Caribbean Series each year.
History
Founded in 1945, the league was previously known as the Liga Invernal de Sonora (Template:Lang-en) and Liga Sonora-Sinaloa (Template:Lang-en) before adopting its present name in 1970.[1]
