Manta Fútbol Club is a football club based in Manta that plays in the Serie B, Ecuador's second tier of professional football. Their rival club is Delfín.
Manta was funded in 1998 after buying the franchise of the now dissolved club Manta Sport, from 1999-2001 the club competed in the Segunda Categoria the country's 3rd tier in 2002 they competed in the Serie B and that same year they got promoted to the Serie A, they got relegated in 2003 only to return 6 years later in 2009 there they stayed in the Serie A for 6 years before getting relegated in 2014.
They got promoted back to the Ecuadorian Serie A in 2020 and will play in the first tier after a 7 year absence
