Marti Anderson (born 1951)[1] is the Iowa State Representative from the 36th District. A Democrat, she has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2013. Anderson was born, raised, and resides in Des Moines, Iowa. She has a B.A. in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa and a M.S.W. from the University of Iowa.

As of May 2013, Anderson serves on several committees in the Iowa House – the Environmental Protection, Human Resources, Judiciary, and Public Safety committees. She also serves as a member of the Justice System Appropriations Subcommittee.
