Su Mudaerji (ch: 苏木达尔基 tb: བསོད་ནམས་དར་རྒྱས།, born January 20, 1996) is a Chinese mixed martial artist of Tibetan descent who competes in the Flyweight and Bantamweight divisions of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. As of January 25, 2021, he is #14 in the UFC flyweight rankings.[4]

Mixed martial arts career

Early career

Starting his career in 2016, Mudaerji fought mostly for the Wu Lin Feng promotion, compiling an 11–3 record.[5]

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Mudaerji made his UFC debut against Louis Smolka at UFC Fight Night 141 on November 24, 2018. He lost the fight via an armbar in round two.[6]

Mudaerji next faced Andre Soukhamthath on August 31, 2019 on UFC on ESPN+ 15.[7] He won the fight via unanimous decision.[8]

In his third fight for the promotion, Mudaerji faced Malcolm Gordon on November 28, 2020 at UFC on ESPN: Smith vs. Clark.[9] He won the fight via knockout less than a minute into round one.[10] He earned a Performance of the Night bonus for the win.[11]

Mudaerji is scheduled to face Zarrukh Adashev, replacing Jeffrey Molina, on January 20, 2021 at UFC on ESPN 20.[12] He won the fight via unanimous decision.[13]

Personal life

Mudaerji is the first UFC fighter of Tibetan descent.[14]
