South Korea-based girl group Twice have released four studio albums, two compilation albums, four reissues, nine extended plays, one compilation extended play, and twenty seven singles. With over 5.8 million albums sold domestically as of December 2020, Twice is the highest-selling girl group in South Korea.[1] The group has sold over 10 million albums in South Korea and Japan cumulatively, as of December 2020.

Formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015 through the survival show Sixteen, Twice debuted in October 2015 with the release of their first EP, The Story Begins, and its single, "Like Ooh-Ahh". Twice's second EP, Page Two, and its lead single, "Cheer Up", were released in April 2016. "Cheer Up" debuted atop the Gaon Digital Chart, making it the group's first No. 1 hit, and eventually became the best-performing digital song of 2016 in South Korea.[2] In October 2016, the group released their third EP, Twicecoaster: Lane 1, with the single "TT". The EP became one of the best-selling albums by a girl group in the history of Gaon Album Chart, with about 475,000 copies sold as of March 2020.[3][4]

In 2017, the reissue of Twicecoaster: Lane 1, Twicecoaster: Lane 2, was released in February and the group's fourth EP, Signal, was later released in May. Their debut studio album, Twicetagram, was released in October, and was subsequently reissued as Merry & Happy in December. The former three releases became the top three best-selling albums by a girl group in 2017.[5] In 2018, Twice released the fifth EP, What Is Love?, in April (reissued as Summer Nights in July) and the sixth one, Yes or Yes, in November (reissued as The Year of "Yes" in December),[6] and maintained their best-selling girl group of the year status.[7]

In Japan, Twice debuted in June 2017 with their first Japanese compilation album, #Twice, earning their very first platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).[8] The group's first and second Japanese singles, "One More Time" and "Candy Pop", were also certified platinum by the RIAJ.[9] The third single, "Wake Me Up", was certified double platinum, becoming the first physical single by a foreign female artist to earn that certification.[10][11] The first three singles were later included on Twice's platinum-certified debut Japanese studio album, BDZ (2018).[12][13] In 2019, Twice's fourth and fifth singles, "Happy Happy" and "Breakthrough", were closely released in July as the double concept project,[14] and extended the group's record of consecutive platinum certifications.[9] Both singles appeared on the group's second Japanese studio album &Twice which arrived in November 2019.
