Lucky Bisht[8] is a former NSG Commando, Spy and also known as R.A.W Hitman[9][10][11] who served as a Personal Security Officer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.[12] Bisht received the award of India's Best NSG Commando in 2009.[13][14][15][16]

Early life and Military career

Lucky Bisht was born in Gangolihat in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, His grandfather died a hero, fighting the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.[17][18] He did his early studies from Kendriya Vidhyalaya No. 5, Mansarovar, Jaipur[19] and joined the Special forces at the age of 16 in 2003.[20] He spent two and half years in Israel for completing his special Spy and Commando training.[21]

Lucky Bisht was also the security officer of Narendra Modi (when he was the Chief minister of Gujarat).[22] In 2009 he was selected as the best commando of National Security Guard.[7] In 2022 Lucky Singh was interviewed by India's renowned crime writer and author Hussain Zaidi about his life,[23] career and exploits across the globe in the intelligence field as an agent for RAW Research and Analysis Wing.[24][25] When United States President Barack Obama[26] was in India for the nation tour on 8 November 2010, Bisht played a role in security detail.[27] He has also worked with some government security agencies such as National Security Guard, Indian Army, Research and Analysis Wing, Special Forces, Assam Rifles and has led missions in various countries.[28][29][30][31]

Indian film Industry

Lucky Bisht entered the Indian film industry as a writer in 2019.[32][33][34] A book on his life R.A.W. Hitman: The Real Story of Agent Lima[35][36] is released by Simon & Schuster on July 4, 2023 in United States[37] and on July 6, 2023 in India.[38][39] This book is authored by Hussain Zaidi[40][41][42] becomes the best seller book in just 3 weeks,[43][44][45] and its foreword are written by Neeraj Kumar (police officer) IPS (Ex- Delhi Police Chief).[46][47][48][49][50] This is the second book published on any Indian's life after Sachin Tendulkar[51] by Simon & Schuster.[52][53]

Controversy

Bisht is the main accused in Assassination of Raju Pargai & Amit Arya.[54][55] On 5 September 2011, Uttarakhand Police imposed a double murder charge of Uttarakhand's biggest gangsters on Lucky.[56][57] He was jailed for over three years and was moved to 11 jails during this period.[2] Finally he was released on 11 March 2015.[58][59] The Nainital district court gave him a clean chit on 6 March 2018 due to lack of evidence.[60][61] Lucky again joined the Special Forces in 2018 and retired in 2019. He started his career in Bollywood in 2019.[62][63]
