Justyna Maria Steczkowska (Polish pronunciation: [juˈstɨna stɛt͡ʂˈkɔfska]; born August 2, 1972) is a Polish singer, songwriter, photographer, and actress.

Biography

She was raised in a large and musically inclined family. She has five sisters (Agata, Krystyna, Magdalena, Maria, Cecylia) and three brothers (Paweł, Jacek, Marcin), and played violin in a family band before becoming a solo singer. She has a four-octave vocal range.[2]

Steczkowska came to prominence in 1994 when she won a television talent show A Chance for Success with her performance of Maanam's song "Buenos Aires". She represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995 with the song "Sama" ("Alone"), finishing 18th. Steczkowska is a recipient of numerous awards including six Fryderyk Awards and a Bronze Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture. She starred in two films: Billboard and Na koniec świata ("To the End of the World").

She was a runner-up in season six of the Polish version of Dancing with the Stars in 2007, and co-hosted the Polish version of Dancing on Ice in 2008.

She was a coach of The Voice of Poland in seasons 2, 4–5, and 12–14, winning twice in the competition.
