Rolf-Dieter Amend (born 21 March 1949 in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt) is a former East German slalom canoeist who competed in the 1970s. He won a gold in the C-2 event at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.

Amend also won three medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with two golds (C-2 team: 1971, 1975) and a silver (C-2: 1971).
