Qaeda al-Jihad (Arabic: Base of Jihad) is the formal name of al-Qaeda.[1] Statements were first issued under that name on 9 April 2002.[2]

In 2008, a statement signed by Mustafa Abu al-Yazid claimed that a member of Qaedat al-Jihad was responsible for the 2008 Danish embassy bombing in Islamabad.[3]
