C. E. Woodruff was an American reverend,[1] educator, electrical engineer and college football coach.

Coaching career

Alma

Woodruff was the head football coach at Alma College in Alma, Michigan. He held that position for the 1896 season. His coaching record at Alma was 2–0–1.[2]

Iowa State

In 1900, Iowa State College hired Woodruff as a "director of physical culture and instructor in Latin."[3] Woodruff served as the fifth head coach for the Iowa State football team during the 1900 season. His coaching record at Iowa state was 2–5–1.[4]
