Tota Singh is an Indian politician and belongs to the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal. He was Minister for Agriculture in the previous Punjab Government.[1]

Family and Education

His father's name is Babu Singh.

Political career

He was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly in 1997 on an Akali Dal ticket from Moga.[2] He was made Minister for Education during 1997-2002.[3] He was re-elected from Moga in 2002.[4] In 2012, he successfully contested from Dharamkot.[5] he was cabinet minister and held portfolio of Agriculture.[1] In 2017, he lost the Dharamkot constituency seat to Sukhjit Singh Kaka Lohgarh by a crushing 22,218 vote margin. In 2007, he lost the Moga constituency seat to Joginder Pal Jain.
