The 1936 Fresno State Bulldogs football team represented Fresno State Normal School[note 1] during the 1936 college football season.

Fresno State competed in the Far Western Conference (FWC).[note 2]> The 1936 team was led by first-year head coach James Bradshaw and played home games at Fresno State College Stadium[note 3] on the campus of Fresno City College in Fresno, California. They finished the season with a record of five wins, three losses and one tie (5–3–1, 2–1 FWC). The Bulldogs outscored their opponents 152–91 for the season.
