Cupra Marittima (Template:Lang-la)[3] is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno[4] in the Italian region Marche, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) southeast of Ancona and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northeast of Ascoli Piceno. As of 1 January 2008, it had a population of 5,252 and an area of 17.2 square kilometres (6.6 sq mi).[5]
Cupra Marittima borders the following municipalities: Grottammare, Massignano, Ripatransone.
