Common Green Grasshopper (Omocestus viridulus)

There are ten species of Orthoptera native to Ireland, seven grasshoppers and three bush-crickets .[1] A further species, the mole cricket, is thought to be extinct.

Family: Tetrigidae (pygmy grasshoppers)
