Balal is the Headquarters of Balal Panchayath in Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala, India.[1]

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Balal had a population of 9647 with 4791 males and 4856 females.[1] It is located in northern part of Kerala state, in the eastern part of Kasaragod district.

This village is connected to Karnataka state through Panathur. Its nearest town is Vellarikundu.
