Daniel Lucas Rowe (born 29 January 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays for Oldham Athletic, as a striker.

Career

Born in Blackpool,[1] Rowe played youth football with Preston North End before joining Manchester United as a 12-year-old in 2001 for a fee determined at tribunal that could potentially have reached a six-figure sum, however, he was released by United aged sixteen.[2][3]

He began his senior career with Blackpool Wren Rovers,[4] where he scored 63 goals in 68 games between August 2008 and August 2010,[5] before moving to join Kendal Town for whom he debuted in the club's 1–0 Northern Premier League at home to Frickley Athletic on 21 August 2010.[6] A strong start at the club, with nine goals in 14 league games, saw Rowe move up two divisions just four months later when he joined Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee.[7][8][9] from whom he enjoyed loan spells at Droylsden, Stockport County, and Barrow moving on to join first Lincoln City and then A.F.C. Fylde.[1][10][11][12] He asked to leave Fylde in January 2020, with the club putting him on the transfer list.[13] He moved to Oldham Athletic later that month for an undisclosed fee, signing an 18-month contract.[14]
