The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia is the head of China's diplomatic mission to Malaysia. The position has the rank and status of an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and is based in the Embassy of China, Kuala Lumpur.

History

  • in 1963 Malaysia was founded.
  • In 1964 the government in Taipei set up a consulate in Kuala Lumpur.
  • In 1969, the consulate was upgraded to a Consulate General.
  • On May 31, 1974, the governments in Beijing and Kuala Lumpur took up diplomatic relations.
