Michal Shir

Michal Shir Segman (Template:Lang-he-n, born 18 November 1979) is an Israeli politician. She is currently a member of the Knesset for Likud.
Biography
Shir grew up in Givatayim, the daughter of Michael Shir, the editor of the Etzbeoni children's newspaper. She joined Likud at the age of 14, and was involved in the establishment of the Ma'ale Yisrael settlement outpost. She served in the Bahad 12 training base during her national service and studied for a BA in political science at Bar-Ilan University.
Shir worked with Gideon Sa'ar when he was Likud chairman during the party's time in opposition between 2006 and 2009, and when he became Minister of Education in 2009.[1] She was placed twenty-ninth on the Likud list for the April 2019 elections,[2] a slot reserved for representative of Tel Aviv District.[1] she was elected to the Knesset as Likud won 36 seats. She was re-elected in September 2019 and 2020.
Personal Life
Shir is married and has 2 children.[3]
