Reception

Allmusic reviewed the album stating "His Underground Memoirs are recommended for restful contemplation, intimate dining, and relaxed conversation among friends".[2] All About Jazz observed "Underground Memoirs offers an opportunity to hear him in that most exposed of contexts.
