The 2020 Piala Indonesia will be the eighth edition of the Piala Indonesia football tournament. The tournament will be held alongside the league in this year and finish at the end of this year [1][2]. The winner will qualify for the play-off round of the 2021 AFC Cup.

PSM are the defending champions.[3]

The tournament was planned to start in not later than May 2020, but following a decision on 27 March 2020 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs (Kemenpora) and PSSI, the competition is postponed until at least 29 May 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, if the government extends the emergency status after 29 May and PSSI considers it is not ideal enough to run the competition, then this season's competition will be canceled.[4]
