Paanch Phoron is a Bengali web series available on the regional OTT platform Hoichoi [1] as of February 14th 2019.[2] The series is named after a popular five spice blend called panch phoron, and is described as a story of "five unique tales, with five distinct flavours of "love" ".[3] These tales form an anthology with five directors that narrate five different romantic stories with one common "ingredient" – Love. Because of its unique style and memorable characters, the series has been well received and is currently on its second season.[4]
The series stars Jaya Ahsan, Anirban Bhattacharya, Shiam Ahmed, Masuma Rahman Nibila, and Riddhi Sen.

Season 1 (2019)
Keeping in mind the love factor of the series, hoichoi released the series on Valentine's Day of 2019 with brand new five episodes. The first episode directed by Arka Ganguly is named 'Phoringer Bou', where a little girl from a suburban city couldn't make friends easily for her shy and quiet nature. The story begins where her newly made playmates gave her marriage to a dragonfly.
In the second episode directed by Suman Mukhopadhyay, titled 'Gopone Prem Charan' a young man falls hopelessly in love with a married woman. This story also has a sensitive touch.
The third episode titled 'Lilith' is directed by Dipankar Dipon. The story is set in the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh, where a technological advancement called the national truth rating has taken the country by storm, which marks the beginning of the story.
The fourth episode, another story directed by a Bangladeshi director Tauquir Ahmed, named Biroho Uttor. In this story, a man seems to have a tough time keeping his job. He almost lost his job but something unexpected happened and the story begins. This episode was also shot in Dhaka.
In the final episode of the season directed by Abhishek Saha titled 'Ekti Paati Premer Golpo' portrays the beautiful love of two childhood friends, now grown-up carries a message in the episode.[5]

Season 2 (2020)
hoichoi launched Season 2 of the web series on 14 February 2020. As the poster suggests this time the series starring Swastika Mukherjee, Sohini Sarkar, Saurav Chakraborty and more.[6][7] Season 2 also an anthology of five stories which contains various flavors of love. Although being five different stories all stories present the emotion of love and its internal beauty.
