Mannanar dynasty
Appearance
The Mannanars were an Ezhava ruling dynasty of Malabar, in the present-day Kannur and Kasaragod districts of India. They may have had a Buddhist heritage.[1] The word Mannanar derives from mannan, meaning king and ar, which pluralises it.[2]
