Venetian Left (Template:Lang-vec, SV) is a social-democratic and green political party in Veneto, embracing Europeanism, internationalism, as well as Venetian nationalism and separatism.[1][2] Its first leader was Matteo Visonà Dalla Pozza. Its current leaders are Matteo Scroccaro, Andrea Mion, Gianpaolo Zampieri.

During a Venetist demonstration in Bassano del Grappa in December 2013, a group of left-leaning Venetists occasionally met and decided to start SV, which was officially founded as a full-fledged party in July 2015. Since then, the party has maintained relations with other Venetist parties,[3] but also with some elected members of the Venetian branch of the Democratic Party such as senator Simonetta Rubinato,[4] and regional councillor Cristina Guarda.[5]

In the run-up of the 2017 autonomy referendum SV has been quite involved in campaigning, especially through "VIVA – Centre/Left Committee for the Autonomy of Veneto",[6] which included also minor members of the Democratic Party. The party has celebrated both Liberation Day and the Feast of Saint Mark, patron of Veneto, in Venice on 25 April, every year.[7]

The party is trying to form a list for the 2020 Venetian regional election.[8]
