Anna Gianelli Yap De Belen-Rivera, more popularly known as Gelli De Belen-Rivera (born May 25, 1973) is a Filipina actress.
She starred with her husband Ariel Rivera in Ikaw Pala Ang Mahal Ko under Star Cinema. In 2001, she hosted SiS. A daytime television program until 2010 which ended its run on GMA Network.
Early life
Born Anna Gianelli de Belen, she is the younger sister of actress and television presenter Janice de Belen.[1][2] De Belen began her career in show business at the age of 8. From 1995–2001, De Belen has starred in numerous sitcoms dramas on ABS-CBN and in 2001–2010 with GMA-7 until she transferred to TV5 and then ABS-CBN and GMA-7 for a daytime soap, Ika-5 Utos.
On March 19, 2016, her mother Susan de Belen, died of cardiac arrest at the age of 71.
Awards
The film Gagay: Prinsesa ng brownout has earned her a Best Actress Nomination in the Manila Film Festival. In 1995, Gelli won the Gawad Urian Award for Best Actress for her role of Sarah Jane Salazar in the movie The Secrets of Sarah Jane: Sana'y Mapatawad Mo, a biographical film about the story of AIDS activist Sarah Jane Salazar and her death from AIDS.
