Azhar Ali is a Pakistani cricketer and the captain of the men's national team in Test cricket-as of February 2020. A right-handed top order batsman,[1] he has made 19 centuries in international cricket—16 in Test cricket and 3 in One Day Internationals (ODIs)—as of February 2020.[a]

Ali scored his maiden Test century on 26 October 2011 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai against Sri Lanka. His highest Test score up to date is unbeaten 302 against West Indies on 13 October 2016 at the same venue where he scored his maiden century. In Test matches, Ali has scored centuries against five of the Test cricket playing nations except India and South Africa and has scored 6 centuries against Sri Lanka, which is his most favorite opposition.

In ODIs, Ali has scored 3 centuries and all as a captain.
