Ponnunjal (transl. The Golden Oonjal) is a 1973 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by C. V. Rajendran and produced by K. S. Kutralingam. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Ushanandini, R. Muthuraman and Cho. The film's score was composed by M. S. Viswanathan.[1][2][3]

The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan, while the lyrics were written by Kannadasan, Selvabharathy and "Nellai" Arulmani. The songs of the film, especially the song "Agayap Pandhalile", an all-time classic, became popular even before the film hit the screens.
