Carcans (Occitan: Carcan or Carcans), also known as Carcans-Maubuisson (pronounced [kaʁkɑ̃ mobɥisɔ̃]), is a commune in the department of Gironde, Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France.

Carcans is a member of the Community of Municipalities Médoc's Lakes which includes the municipalities of Lacanau, Carcans, and Hourtin.
