Kristóf Milák (born 20 February 2000) is a Hungarian swimmer. He is the current holder of the world record in 200m butterfly. He has won a gold medal and a silver at the World Championships, as well as a gold at the European Championships. He is also a three-time Youth Olympic Champion from the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics.

Career

At the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in the semifinal of the men's 100 metre butterfly, Milák set a new junior world record and a new national record (50.77).[2] In the final he won the silver medal, and set a new junior world record and a new national record (50.62).[3]

At the 2018 European Aquatics Championships he won the gold medal in the men's 200 metre butterfly event. At the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics he won three gold medals and one silver medal.

At the 2019 World Aquatics Championships he won the gold medal and broke Michael Phelps' 10-year-old world record (1:51.51) in the 200m butterfly event by 0.78 seconds, setting a new world-record time of 1:50.73.[4]

International Swimming League

In 2019 Milák was member[5] of the 2019 International Swimming League representing Team Iron. He won the 200m butterfly in both matches he participated in. (Lewisville, Budapest)
