Education and work

Education

His initial schooling began from Sarlahi (present day Rautahat) dhurva primary school where he studied till standard 3. He completed his SLC from Saraswati Secondary School Pipra, Bhalohiya Rautahat. After passing his SLC he shifted to Sitamarhi District of Bihar to complete his +2 from Bihar Intermediate Education Council in the year 1986. He travelled to Kathmandu to pursue B.Sc. from Patan Campas Of Kathamdu. After some time he enrolled to Amrit Science Campus, where he completed his bachelor's level of education in the year 1988.

He used to help his father and mother in farming as well as cooking at home. He wasn’t involved in politics as a child but was very observant and was always up to date with the news and the society.

Work

After passing his +2 examination in the year 1986 (having decided to pursue the B.Sc. in Nepal only), he worked as a teacher for one year in Gyanodaya Balbatika High School of Hetauda. At that time their monthly settlement was about Rs. 500. This was the only year of his life where he worked as a paid employee.

He used to teach school students as a part-time tutor to fund his education in Amrit Science Campus.

Early political career

Anil kumar jha in his teens.

Started from Nepal Sadbhawana (Goodwill) Parisad (Council) in A.D 1988, throughout struggled for Democracy and Social Justice in the Country as activist, Party Cadre, Student Leader and Party Leader of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Only Champion of Madheshi Voice in Hard times of Madheshi and Nepal both) since A.D 1988, had under police custody in all democratic and Madheshi Movements from A.D 1988, Member of Movement steering Committee, task force, of A.D 2005/2006 Movement. Working for Democracy, Social Justice, Civic and Equal Rights to Madheshi Community and all other Deprived, Exploited, Marginalized and underprivileged's of Nepal. Advocate for Hindi as the alternative National language of Nepal. Steering Philosophical Political Line of Late Gajendra Narayan Singh, The Founder of Nepal Sadbhawana Party and Madhesh Movement (Post A.D 1980's Madheshi Movement) in Nepal.

Entering politics

He wasn’t involved in politics and hadn’t been a part of any political work before the year B.S 2045 (AD 1988) He was a young boy who concentrated on his studies and his family, he was also bashed like other madheshes in Nepal in is work place in hetauda where he worked as a teacher. His co-workers used to catcall people by calling them names like Madheshi, Dhoti etc.

Late. Gajendra Narayan Singh was member of National Panchayat during that time, Interviews, Articles and News related to him used to be published in those days, Anil Kumar Jha used to keep and read his news with interest which later became a factor for him being mocked by his pahadi Co-Teachers as the environment for Madheshis wasn’t very nice during those days. He was the only Madheshi teacher in that school. Still, he was not attracted to politics. He didn't like interfering in others life and was more of the silent kind.

Multi-party movement

After coming to Kathmandu to study B.sc, a sign of multi party movement began to appear in Kathmandu started participating in the movement By the name of a liberal but independent student, they started joining the slogan with the agitators. Throughout his participation in the protests and the movement he wasn't sure whether it was his political consciousness, or youthfulness of youth, or just a rage of a common man. He didn't know what was the motive behind it but he was already a member of the Multi-Party Movement.[4]

Anil Kumar Jha with Late Shri. APJ Abdul Kalam

He used to collect all the forms and pamphlets of the protests and protesters, he used to collect and read them after returning to his room which was then considered as treason as Nepal was a monarchy. He used to protect and keep it very securely. There was a major Hindu festival Holi in the middle of the movement for which Mr. Jha decided to visit his Home Village with his uncle Devendra Jha who happened to be a havaldar of Nepal Police, there was high tension between Police officials and the protestors during that time as it was peak of the protest. He kept the forms, appeals and pamphlets inside the bag of his uncle without the notice to his uncle Devendra. He was travelling in his uniform as during those days the police officials weren't charged in the buses. After returning his uncle was shocked. They later showed the agendas throughout the district with his team was the strongest and the biggest in the whole Rautahat district. The local police station was burned down by the protesters, His village is one of the highly politically active villages in Nepal as the Bairgania Sammelan was sponsored by big landlords of Matsari Village.

He became a popular Face among the youth by the year B.S2046 (A.D1988) because of this movement and protests one day he was travelling to Sitamarhi, Bihar to photocopy the pamphlets as the it was not an easy service to get in Nepal. On the way back he was arrested by Nepal police in Sarlahi district during the security check at the Indo-Nepal border.
