Fidor Bank is a German online bank,[1] founded in 2009. In 2015, it started a market foray into the UK.[2][3][4][5]

In July 2016, it was announced that Fidor Bank was being acquired by France's Groupe BPCE for €100m.[6] As of September 2016, Fidor Bank continued to operate under its own branding.[7]

On July 1st 2019, Fidor Bank has announced that it will be suspending its services in UK on September 15th 2019 due to uncertainties surrounding the UK market.[8]
