A Love So Beautiful (Chinese: 致我们单纯的小美好; pinyin: Zhì Wǒ Mén Dān Chún De Xiǎo Měi Hǎo) is a Chinese web series starring Hu Yitian and Shen Yue, based on the novel To Our Pure Little Beauty by Zhao Gangan.[1] It aired on Tencent Video from November 9 until December 7, 2017.[2]
The series was popular during its run, and received positive reviews for its characterization and story. It surpassed more than 5.5 billion views on its online platform.[3][4][5]
Synopsis
It starts off with high school classmates Chen Xiaoxi and Jiang Chen, who have also been neighbors since kindergarten. Chen Xiaoxi, a cheerful girl who doesn't study much, is expressive about her admiration towards Jiang Chen, the popular guy known for his looks and high grades. Jiang Chen is also a guy who is very distant and indifferent towards people because of his father’s early death. Together, Jiang Chen and Chen Xiaoxi prepare for their Gao Kao, a university Entry Examination during their senior years in secondary school. Together with their classmates—the funny yet dirty-minded Lu Yang, athletic but blunt Lin Jingxiao, and cool national swimmer Wu Bo Song, they embark on high school life to university until their adult life.

- An elite student known for his looks and intelligence. He later becomes a cardiac surgeon. He is secretly in love with Chen Xiaoxi.
- Shen Yue as Chen Xiaoxi
- A bright and optimistic girl with a flair for drawing. She is persistent toward her admiration for Jiang Chen. She later becomes a cartoonist.

- Gao Zhiting as Wu Bosong
- A jolly and playful guy who loves swimming. He is loyal towards Chen Xiaoxi and acts as her guardian angel. He has a one-sided love for Chen Xiaoxi.
- Wang Ziwei as Lin Jingxiao
- Chen Xiaoxi's best friend. She's the tough tomboy who's ferociously protective of her friends and won't stand for any lies. She wants to become an astronomer and is married to Lu Yang.
- Sun Ning as Lu Yang
- A loud and boisterous guy who later on, falls in love with Lin Jingxiao and marries her. He also has very serious heart issues.
- Lü Yan as Li Wei
- Chairperson of the class. She has depression due to too much stress. She has a one-sided love for Jiang Chen.
- Zhang He Hao Zhen as Li Shu
- The school's physician, who later becomes a world-renowned doctor.
- Wang Jiahui as Qiao Lu
- Li Wei's best friend. She always comes in defense of Li Wei and acts rudely to those who mistreat her.
